Every story has the power to change a life. But, with around 22,000 new titles published in Australia each year, it can be a little hard to stand out. As a graduate of Professional Writing and Editing (PWE) and the Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) at RMIT, it is my goal to work with writers and help their stories be read – and read in their best possible form.​

Though every day is a day for romance, I can't help but take the excuse to post some Edgar Allan Poe 🖤. @meanjinquarterly_ has been an invaluable pillar of the literary culture in Melbourne, Victoria, and Australia for the better part of almost a century. But a person getting over a million dollars per year salary cannot find any fat to trim for the budget to fund it for another year? What is the purpose of university if not to provide all opportunities and avenues for all its students and alumni to prosper? Certainly a university doesn't exist solely to line the pockets of a select few ... Join me in signing this open letter, and in trying to save a crucial part of the literary scene in our UNESCO World City of Literature. New year, new bookings available. Writing is resistance, of one thing or another. Of a world at war, of discrimination, of injustice, of capitalism, of normalcy, of boredom, of muteness, of division ... And writing is hard. It is hard, and it is an act of self-sacrifice and vulnerability, and the difficulties are not talked about as much as they should be.
